I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
