The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Warriors Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of characters who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at one table would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, invading the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each member has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in House Halovar could assist the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Questers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
